Adhikari Suvendu of TMC (alliance: Others) won in this seat defeating CPM. TMC polled 7,16,928 of the total of 13,37,958 votes polled. TMC won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Tamluk goes to the polls in the 6st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Sunday, May 12, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
