C S Puttaraju of JDS (alliance: UPA) won in this seat defeating INC. JDS polled 5,24,370 of the total of 12,26,182 votes polled. JDS won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Mandya goes to the polls in the 2st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
