Gaddigoudar Parvtagouda Chandanagouda of BJP (alliance: NDA) won in this seat defeating INC. BJP polled 5,71,548 of the total of 10,79,310 votes polled. BJP won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Bagalkot goes to the polls in the 3st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
