Vishnu Dayal Ram of BJP (alliance: NDA) won in this seat defeating RJD. BJP polled 4,76,513 of the total of 9,77,264 votes polled. JMM won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Palamau goes to the polls in the 4st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Monday, April 29, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
