Sarguja Surguja is a Lok Sabha / Parliamentary constituency in North Chhattisgarh of Chhattisgarh and is located in Central India. Sarguja Lok Sabha is reserved for Scheduled Tribe.
It is a Rural constituency with an approximate literacy rate of 60.01%. There are 15,23,022 voters of which 7,71,106 are male and 7,51,862 are female and 54 voters of the third gender.
Kamalbhan Singh Marabi of BJP (alliance: NDA) won in this seat defeating INC. BJP polled 5,85,336 of the total of 11,87,321 votes polled. BJP won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Sarguja goes to the polls in the 3st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
