Chirag Kumar Paswan of LJP (alliance: NDA) won in this seat defeating RJD. LJP polled 2,85,354 of the total of 7,75,639 votes polled. JDU won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Jamui goes to the polls in the 1st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
