Sambavisa Rao Rayapati of TDP (alliance: UPA) won in this seat defeating YSRCP. TDP polled 5,39,966 of the total of 10,97,371 votes polled. TDP won the seat in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.
Narasaraopet goes to the polls in the 1st phase of the 2019 General Elections to choose the 17th Lok Sabha on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The election results for the seat are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2019.
